Our Staff at Butterflies are passionate about the care and development of the children. They are all highly qualified and have many years experience working in child care. Butterflies Director Lisa is also a qualified Teacher who is on hand to support and encourage children in their learning journey.
All staff have safeguarding training and we always have a paediatric first aider on sight to ensure your children are always in safe hands.
The nursery is passionate about developing its staff to their full potential so we provide lots of training opportunities to help them achieve this.
We have apprentices working at Butterflies who all flourish with the experience of our staff. Butterflies is creating the next generation on nursery practitioners so our staff team becomes even stronger.
Alice is one of our Directors at Butterflies.
In her previous role Alice was the manager of a successful nursery setting. Taking it from Ofsted Inadequate to Good in just 18 months. She has Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies from Staffordshire University.
She is excited about her future at Butterflies Day Nursery and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and passion for early years with the team and children at the nursery.
Alice works on all the marketing for the business and is the lady you will speak to when inquiring via our Facebook page and website.
Alice deals with all our funded places at nursery and will help you apply for the funding you require.
Lisa is a qualified primary school teacher with over twenty years teaching experience. She graduated from Wolverhampton University with a Bachelor of Education (Hons) degree in 1997 and since then has taught across all year groups in the primary phase. In 2005, Lisa moved to Germany to teach for the Ministry Of Defence, where she taught service children for ten years. During this time, she ran a 100 plus place nursery and Early Years unit, which became a leading school for science and outdoor learning in the early years. In 2014, Lisa became a Level 3 qualified Forest Schools practitioner and now enjoys sharing these new skills with young children.
She has a passion for science and forest schools style activities. Allowing the children to show their creativity, making things from natural objects and exploring their senses with engaging activities.
